Column Permissions in SharePoint List

I recently ran across this CodePlex project that lets you set permissions on the columns in a SharePoint list.  It lets the permissions get set down to the type of form being opened. This specific requirement has come up many times, so this feature is a great enhancement to SharePoint. It can be found at: http://www.codeplex.com/SPListDisplaySetting

The codeplex site lists this as not being published…no help here.

Got System.Exception error while installing on 64 Bit Windows 2003. Is there any solution for this?

The linked code does NOT allow permissions to be set on columns. It controls the DISPLAY behaviour of columns.

Yes, this is important! However, as long as these forms are the only way for the user to view/edit the fields, it suffices.
